Image and relic of Father Eustáquio are enthroned in Indianópolis-MG

On All Saints' Day, the Sant'Ana Parish Church in the city of Indianópolis, in the Triângulo Mineiro region, received an image and a first-degree relic of Blessed Father Eustáquio. They were delivered by the vice-postulator of the Cause of Canonization of Blessed Father Eustáquio, Father Vinícius Maciel, sscc, and by the formator of the Congregation, Father Silvano Dias de Ávila, sscc, who was born in Indianópolis.

The enthronement ceremony was held on the evening of November 1st at the city's main church. The parish administrator, Father Renato Joaquim Ferreira, and Deacon Selmo Alves de Souza were the hosts who received and welcomed the priests of the Sacred Hearts in the church where Father Eustáquio himself celebrated Mass in the 1940s, when he was the parish priest there.

The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Father Vinicius and concelebrated by Father Silvano. “I express here my joy, attention, and gratitude for the welcome from Father Renato and Deacon Selmo… I am truly happy to be here. When I entered with the image, I had the feeling that I was bringing Father Eustáquio back to what was once his parish.”, Father Vinicius emphasized.

The priests of the Sacred Hearts were also received by the mayor, Lindomar Borges, at the entrance of the church. At the end of the celebration, the faithful present in the church were also able to approach and touch the image and relic of the Blessed.

The sacred objects will be placed on an altar in the Church of Sant'Ana and can be visited later by devotees, residents, and visitors of Indianópolis.
