Last weekend, Father Vinícius Maciel, sscc, vice-postulator of the Cause of Canonization of Blessed Father Eustáquio and rector of the Sanctuary of Health and Peace, received the book "In the Power of the Word." The work is a posthumous tribute from the "Mothers Who Pray for Their Children" movement.
The book launch took place during the State Meeting of the Movement, at the Christ the King Cathedral. Father Vinícius received the book from the national coordinator, Ângela Abdo, and Father Alexandre Fernandes, spiritual director of the group in Minas Gerais.
Father Vinicius, who met several times with Dom Luiz Mancilha Vilela, sscc, (1942-2022) while the archbishop was writing the book, was moved by the tribute: “"I followed every page of this book, especially during Dom Luiz's final days in the hospital, and I am very honored to be here today, receiving this book."”, "The rector emphasized.".
“In the Power of the Word” is a posthumous tribute from mothers to Dom Luiz Mancilha, sscc, the first bishop to welcome national coordinator Ângela Abdo and who became a reference point for the CNBB (National Conference of Brazilian Bishops) in the “Mothers Who Pray for Their Children” Movement.
State Meeting
Mothers on their knees, children standing. This was the theme of the state meeting of Mothers Who Pray for their Children, which brought together 2,400 women from various regions of the state, at the Cristo Rei Cathedral, on Saturday (28), in rNorthern region of Belo Horizonte.
The annual event includes preaching, celebration of Mass, recitation of the Rosary, and artistic presentations. This was the seventh edition of the Minas Gerais State Meeting of Mothers Who Pray for Their Children.
