Young people from the Padre Eustáquio Church participate in WYD (World Youth Day).

Young people and pilgrims gathered at Campo da Graça on Sunday morning, the 6th, to attend the final event of World Youth Day (WYD). Among the crowd was a group of young Brazilians involved in movements at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace. They had participated in the entire event since the end of July.

The young people from the church of Blessed Father Eustace had exciting experiences in Lisbon, Portugal, at the youth meeting with Pope Francis for World Youth Day. The event began on August 1st, but before that, they were already in Europe and visited, among other places, the Netherlands, where Father Eustace was born.

During the journey, the young people participated in various events in the country's Catholic communities that welcomed the pilgrims. Yesterday, they all attended the farewell Mass before returning to Brazil.

Pope Francis presided over Holy Mass, addressing young people in his homily and urging them not to be afraid, for the Church and the world need youth.
