For us Christians, the Eucharist is a source of life. We must seek it with love and zeal. In a text written by Father Eust\u00e1quio, we see his love for the Eucharist. He sees the Bread of Life as a way to strengthen himself. It is the Eucharistic Bread that brings courage, joy, and encouragement to our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was during the last European war (1914-1918) that the parents received the following telegram at night: "Jos\u00e9, to die. 4th Division".<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n It's clear that both spouses were also terrified, because Jos\u00e9 loved him so much, and this beloved son was dying.<\/em> What did they do? The mother, weak and ill, could no longer leave the house, but the father, still very old, wanted to visit his son, for no other reason.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n It was dawn when he arrived where his son was, in a camping tent. He had walked all night, but he was there to see his son who was burning with fever and no longer opened his eyes, except when his father spoke to him:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2013 Jos\u00e9, here is your father, the father who made a long journey to see you again!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The son uttered a few incomprehensible words. Then, the father, with all his simplicity, took a piece of bread from his pocket and, showing it insistently to his son, said:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2013 \u201cHere, eat this, it was made by your mother with so much sacrifice and love for you.\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n At that point, the young man, moved by the many greetings of the days spent away from her, said in a weak voice:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2013 My good mother, this is bread for lunch, sent by my good mother. Is it\u2026 possible here? She spoke thus and began, between tears, to eat the bread, gradually recovering and recovering little by little, and behold, the son, who thought him dying, soon recovered, to everyone's surprise.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Dear brothers and sisters, this true story could be that of any one of us, for we are all combatants, we are all in a real war, and it is not with a broken soul and lack of energy, alone and without the comfort of home, without the Eucharistic Bread, the Holy Host also of our Mother Mary, the Immaculate Virgin, that the soldier can bravely and proudly sustain this arduous struggle until the final victory.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Oh, that no one could pass by without being able to say, after eating this Bread: \u201cMy Jesus and my Mother in Heaven, I am not worthy, but even so, You heal me, You nourish me, You forgive me.\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Young men, be strong! Old men, be courageous, even on the brink of death! Sad and downcast, poor and rich, be joyful!
