{"id":11082,"date":"2024-02-14T09:19:44","date_gmt":"2024-02-14T12:19:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.padreeustaquio.com.br\/?p=11082"},"modified":"2024-02-14T09:19:44","modified_gmt":"2024-02-14T12:19:44","slug":"social-friendship-and-the-theme-of-the-2024-fraternity-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.padreeustaquio.com.br\/en\/social-friendship-and-the-theme-of-the-2024-fraternity-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"Social Friendship is the theme of the 2024 Fraternity Campaign."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the theme \u201cFraternity and Social Friendship\u201d and the motto \u201cYou are all brothers and sisters\u201d, the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB) launches, today Ash Wednesday (February 14th), the 2024 Fraternity Campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign is celebrating its 60th anniversary and is carried out by the CNBB (National Conference of Brazilian Bishops) during Lent \u2014 a period of fasting and spiritual preparation that precedes Easter \u2014 with the aim of encouraging solidarity in relation to some social problem.<\/p>\n<p>According to the CNBB (National Conference of Brazilian Bishops), the &quot;Fraternity and Social Friendship&quot; campaign aims to guide Lent through the following themes:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 to encourage people to see situations of enmity;<br \/>\n\u2013 to encourage people to be enlightened by the Gospel that unites them as a family;<br \/>\n\u2013 to act in accordance with the Lenten proposal of constant conversion, promoting the effort towards personal and communal change;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fraternity Campaign 2024<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>The official launch of the campaign is scheduled for 9:00 AM this Ash Wednesday at the CNBB headquarters in Bras\u00edlia, with a Mass celebrated by the Secretary-General, Bishop Ricardo Hoepers, followed by the opening ceremony at 10:00 AM in the Dom Helder C\u00e2mara Auditorium.
