Yesterday, the Church throughout the world began the celebrations of Holy Week. This most important week, as it is also called, prepares us to experience intensely the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the beginning of this pilgrimage, the faithful were able to celebrate Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem through the Palm Sunday masses. At all times, the Eucharist included the blessing of palms. The 10:00 AM mass began at the Padre Eust\u00e1quio Marist School, after which the devotees went in procession through the streets of the neighborhood until they arrived at the Sanctuary, where the rector continued the ceremony. It is estimated that more than five thousand people participated in the celebrations this weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7pm blessing of the New Fire at Col\u00e9gio Marista Padre Eust\u00e1quio, followed by a candlelight procession to the Church.
