The vice-postulator of the Cause for Canonization of Father Eustáquio, Father Marcus Vinícius Maciel, SSCC, met in Rome, Italy, with the Superior General of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts, Patrícia Villarroel. They and other religious brothers participating in the fourth stage of Initial Formation had lunch together during a brief visit by the Superior. The meeting is being held at the General House of the Congregation between September 8th and 13th.

Among other topics of the fourth stage of Initial Formation is the program for the preparation of perpetual vows for each Province and Conference. The meaning of the vows will be discussed in the context of the different areas of the Congregation. Another important point is the work on the integration document of the fourth stage into the General Plan for Initial Formation. The meeting is coordinated by Thomas Sukotriraharjo, general coordinator of Initial Formation, and by Jean-Blaise Mwanda.

Along with the General Government, the coordinators of the Initial Formation of the Conferences are present: Pankrasius Olak (CAP), José Luis Pérez (CEA), Jorge Enrique Ramírez (CIAL), Richard McNally (USA) and Crispin Badinga (Africa). Also participating are the brothers responsible for the fourth stage of Initial Formation: Marcus Vinicius Maciel (Brazil), Christian Sandoval (Chile), Alexis Nayak (India), Yosef Barnabas Rianghepat (Indonesia), Alphonse Fraboulet (France) and José Ramón Torre-Marín (Paraguay).
