At the invitation of the Superior General, the vice-postulator of the Cause of Canonization of Father Eustáquio, Father Vinicius Maciel, ss.cc, has been in Rome since December 13th. He went to Europe to conduct research in the General Archive of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts in view of the centenary of the Blessed's arrival in Brazil (2025), which also marks the arrival of the Congregation in Brazilian lands.

In addition to research in the Congregation's archives, Fr. Vinicius will also meet with the Postulator General, Father Andrzej Lukawski, ss.cc, regarding the canonization process of Blessed Father Eustace.

After his stay in Rome, which ends on January 9th of next year, the vice-postulator will continue his research in the Netherlands, where he will visit the Archives of Religious Life (especially those of the Sacred Hearts) located in the Monastery of Saint Agatha and will also meet with the nephews of Blessed Father Eustace.
