About the Stations of the Cross
Lent is a time that invites us to reflect on the Passion and death of Jesus Christ. Therefore, the "Via Crucis," or Way of the Cross, as it is popularly known in Brazil, is an exercise of prayer and reflection, meditating on the suffering of Jesus from Pilate's tribunal to Mount Calvary.
This reflection consists of 14 stations, each representing a special act of devotion.
