For us Christians, Easter is a time of renewal and conversion. We are living through the Lenten season in preparation for the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus, dedicating ourselves more diligently to fasting, prayer, and penance. But a more complete preparation requires the sacrament of confession.
The Catholic Church asks us to confess at least once a year, and so that more people can prepare for Easter by being absolved of their sins, the Sanctuary of Health and Peace, Church of Blessed Father Eustace, will be holding a confession drive.
The community effort will take place in Wednesday, March 22, at three different times:
of 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM, of 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM and of 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
It's important to remember that the prayer marathon was originally scheduled for the 23rd, according to the flyer distributed at the church, but a date change was necessary, and the new date will be Wednesday, March 22nd. All parishioners are invited to participate. Confession is an opportunity that God gives us to repent of our sins and begin again on the path of the Lord.
