A caravan of volunteers from the Church of Blessed Father Eustace, led by the Rector of the Sanctuary, Fr. Vinícius Maciel, SSCC, participated on Wednesday evening (19) in the first day of the Novena to Saint Jude. The Holy Mass marks the opening of the Saint's Feast in Belo Horizonte.

At 7 PM, Father Vinícius presided over Holy Mass at the Archdiocesan Sanctuary of Saint Jude Thaddeus. (watch here). The priest of the Sacred Hearts was accompanied by ministers of Holy Communion and readers who participate in the liturgy teams of the Church of Father Eustáquio. In his homily, Father Vinícius emphasized the importance of examples left for us by the Holy Church and that we should emulate them to live our faith in Christ.

This is the 68th Novena and Feast of Saint Jude Thaddeus celebrated in the capital of Minas Gerais. This year the festivities will take place over ten days, from October 18th to 28th.

With the theme "Saint Jude Thaddeus, the Lord's Prayer and Universal Brotherhood," devotees and faithful are invited to celebrate faith and devotion. The program includes Masses, processions, and a musical performance in honor of Saint Jude.

On October 28th, Eucharistic Celebrations will take place starting at midnight, with a two-hour interval between masses, the last one being at 10 PM. The sanctuary's votive candle area will be open from 5:30 AM.
