Reform brings improvements to the work of the Ladies of Charity.

The renovation was carried out due to the great need for improvements to the physical structure of the place, since the location where the Ladies of Charity operates is old and was already in a very precarious condition. We know the importance of the Social Service provided by the Ladies and, therefore, the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts and the Parish have always had great esteem for this work.

The renovations encompassed all the rooms where the Ladies of Charity operate. The roof, which had leaks, was repaired; doors damaged by termites were replaced; a large room was divided to create two distinct spaces; the pharmacy and kitchen floors were redone; the bathrooms were also renovated with the installation of showers and replacement of toilets; the damaged electrical, plumbing, and lighting components were replaced; and finally, cracks, fissures, and leaks were treated, culminating in a general painting of the building.

The property housing the Damas social work project and another property where the Padre Eustáquio Daycare Center operates are provided by the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts. Therefore, as a gesture of gratitude, Father Marcus Vinicius, through the Padre Eustáquio Social Action, sought to raise funds to carry out the necessary and urgent renovations.

The space, now renovated, offers the volunteers who carry out this beautiful work a more favorable environment for serving those most in need. With the division of one of the rooms, individual assistance can now be provided calmly; those needing a shower can be attended to; and the spaces for meals, clothing, and medicine distribution are now more suitable.
