The Military Police band will give a special performance at the Padre Eustáquio Church in Belo Horizonte.

Next Tuesday, December 21st, the Sanctuary of Health and Peace, the Church of Blessed Father Eustáquio, will host members of the Musical Activities Center of the Military Police of Minas Gerais. The special Christmas concert will take place starting at 8 PM, inside the Sanctuary.

The performance will feature 37 people, including a conductor, instrumentalists, and singers, all officers of the Minas Gerais Military Police. The program includes classical music and, of course, specific Christmas carols. The musicians will be welcomed by the rector of the Sanctuary, Father Vinícius Maciel, and will be joined by the public, who can occupy the church pews, following health and safety protocols.

The Military Police Band's performance will be broadcast on the Padre Eustáquio Channel, starting at 8 PM, immediately after Holy Mass, via a separate link. The partnership between the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts and the Military Police of Minas Gerais is long-standing, but the performances did not take place last year due to the pandemic. The last performance of the Military Police Band at the Sanctuary took place on December 6, 2019, and moved the hundreds of people who attended the church on the day of the concert.

The Center for Musical Activities of the Military Police of Minas Gerais – CAM, was created in 2012 with the mission of coordinating the musical activities of the PMMG in the capital and the interior of Minas Gerais. Through Strategic Musical Actions, it aims to generate public safety, using music as a communication tool between the PMMG and the "Beloved People of Minas Gerais".
