“"Men's Rosary" returns to the Church of Father Eustáquio, in Belo Horizonte.

After a long time without meeting, the "Men's Rosary" movement is meeting again today (February 15th) at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace. The group had suspended its activities in March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On Tuesday evening, immediately following Holy Mass, the men who pray the Marian rosary together at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace will meet after almost two years without gathering. All men are invited to participate. The Eucharistic Celebration takes place at 7 pm; afterwards, the group gathers in the left nave of the church. With songs and meditation on the life of Jesus, the participants pray, make their requests, and give thanks to God for the valuable intercession of Mary.

Starting today, every Tuesday at around 8 PM, the "Men's Rosary" will be held at the Padre Eustáquio Church in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.

The emergence of the Men's Rosary.

Under the guidance of Father Américo Vasconcelos, a Salesian priest, and Mrs. Oneida Araújo da Silva, the first seed of the Men's Rosary at the parish level germinated in 1997 in the municipality of Jaboatão dos Guararapes/PE. This beginning took place in the chapel of Our Lady of Deliverance, which was transformed into the Schoenstatt Parish Shrine. The group started with 15 men.

Father José Pontes, of the Secular Institute of the Schoenstatt Fathers, having learned of this initiative, decided to try it out at the Shrine of the New Evangelization, in the Diocese of Olinda-Recife/PE and The Rosary began its significant development, integrating itself into the fruitfulness of the Shrine and the strength of the charism of its Movement. Several years passed before it took root and became properly organized. In May 1998, the Rosary began to be prayed weekly. It is with this rhythm that it will explode towards new horizons. The definition of the name, Men's Rosary of the Mother Queen, came in March 2007.
