The first day of the Novena to Blessed Father Eustace brought together hundreds of faithful at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace in Belo Horizonte. The church, affectionately known as the Church of Blessed Father Eustace, will celebrate the liturgical day of the Blessed Father on the 30th of this month.

On the evening of Wednesday the 21st, members of the Family Ministry, the Events Ministry, and the Encounter of Couples with Christ (ECC) were present as novena participants, leading the prayers from 6:15 pm, when the Holy Rosary for Canonization was recited.

At 7 p.m., the rector of the Sanctuary, Father Edmar Oliveira, SSCC, presided over the Holy Mass to open the novena. Members of the pastoral groups and the ECC carried the banner to the altar at the beginning of the celebration, marking the first moment in preparation for the great feast next week.

After the Eucharistic Celebration, there was a meditation on the First Day of the Novena: Father Eustace and the Virtue of Faith. Following this, everyone was invited to socialize at the food stalls run by the parish youth group.
