The centenary of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts in Brazil will be celebrated with a festival.

In a spirit of gratitude and joy, the Brazilian Province of the Sacred Hearts is preparing a grand celebration to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Congregation in the country and the arrival of Blessed Father Eustace van Lieshout, SS.CC., in Brazil.

On May 14th, the Congregation's communities, spread throughout Brazil, will gather at the Province headquarters in Belo Horizonte to celebrate the date. At 6:15 PM there will be a rosary for the Canonization of Blessed Father Eustáquio and, immediately afterwards, at 7 PM, the Holy Mass of Thanksgiving for the 100th anniversary of the Congregation.

The meditation of the Holy Rosary and the Eucharist will be held at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace, the church of Blessed Father Eustáquio, in Belo Horizonte, and the entire community is invited to participate. The Rosary and Mass will be broadcast on the Padre Eustáquio Channel on YouTube.

Continuing the celebrations, from August 21 to September 4, 2025, also in the city of Belo Horizonte (MG), a large event will bring together religious, members of the Secular Branch and collaborators of the Congregation's works from various countries.

The celebrations will include moments of spirituality, fellowship, historical remembrance, art, and education, highlighting the missionary legacy of Blessed Father Eustace, a figure of great popular devotion. Among the main events are: the novena (August 21-29) and the liturgical feast of Blessed Father Eustace (August 30), the International Symposium “Health and Peace” (beginning September 1), as well as various cultural and educational activities until September 4.

Participants will be welcomed in the Padre Eustáquio neighborhood, a historic location marked by the presence and mission of the Blessed One.
