Archbishop of Belo Horizonte and Postulator of the Cause participate in the Feast of Father Eustáquio

The Metropolitan Archbishop of Belo Horizonte, Dom Walmor Oliveira de Azevedo (center in the photo) and the Postulator of the Cause of Canonization of Father Eustáquio, Fr. David Reid (left), were present at the 75th Feast of Father Eustáquio, held on August 30th. Dom Walmor presided over the 6 pm Mass, which was concelebrated by Father David (postulator) and Father Vinícius Maciel (vice-postulator), pro-rector of the Sanctuary of Health and Peace.

During his homily, Archbishop Walmor highlighted the importance of Christian commitment to faith: 'It's no use asking Father Eustáquio, whom we know to be a true intercessor, if we don't do our part,' he emphasized.

Throughout the day, several priests and religious figures visited the Sanctuary of Health and Peace, including Dom Luiz Mancilha, SSCC, Archbishop of Vitória-ES, and Father Gleición Adriano da Silva, from the Maria Serva do Senhor parish in Belo Horizonte. The celebration commemorating the 75th anniversary of Father Eustáquio's death began at 6:00 AM with Holy Mass and ended at 9:00 PM, also with a Eucharistic Celebration.
