The altar of the Health and Peace Sanctuary, Father Eustáquio's church, underwent renovations at the end of Lent. The result was revealed this past weekend during the Easter Triduum. In its place, the Resurrected Jesus gives way to the Crucified Christ, who for many years formed part of the church's presbytery.
This work is part of the process of reclaiming the roots of the Health and Peace Sanctuary, which seeks to return the church as close as possible to the project envisioned by Blessed Father Eustáquio before his death. The renovation was only possible thanks to a donation from a family devoted to the Blessed Father.
The cross on the altar of churches represents Christ at the center of the liturgical action in his paschal mystery. If you want to know more about this symbolism, Click here.
