The Congregation of the Sacred Hearts has a very beautiful church, located in a prime area of Madrid, Spain. The temple stands out for its architecture, being considered by many to be a work of art. The church is located in a very important part of the city, being very close to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home of Real Madrid.

The church was built in the 1960s, with a functional architecture, meeting the new liturgical perspectives proposed by the Second Vatican Council. The work was entrusted to the renowned architect Rodolfo Garcia Pablos, who built a penitential chapel that was later named after Saint Damien of Molokai.

In Spain, devotion to Saint Damien is very strong, which is why he was chosen to be honored.

Tribute to Father Eustáquio

Years later, Father Eustáquio was also honored at the Chapel of Saint Damian. A bas-relief medallion was placed there, inaugurated in 2013. The piece was made by Julio Lopes Hernandez, considered a great Spanish sculptor.
