Social Friendship is the theme of the 2024 Fraternity Campaign.

With the theme “Fraternity and Social Friendship” and the motto “You are all brothers and sisters”, the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB) launches, today Ash Wednesday (February 14th), the 2024 Fraternity Campaign.

The campaign is celebrating its 60th anniversary and is carried out by the CNBB (National Conference of Brazilian Bishops) during Lent — a period of fasting and spiritual preparation that precedes Easter — with the aim of encouraging solidarity in relation to some social problem.

According to the CNBB (National Conference of Brazilian Bishops), the "Fraternity and Social Friendship" campaign aims to guide Lent through the following themes:

– to encourage people to see situations of enmity;
– to encourage people to be enlightened by the Gospel that unites them as a family;
– to act in accordance with the Lenten proposal of constant conversion, promoting the effort towards personal and communal change;
