About 20 Sisters of the Heart of Mary were at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace, Church of Blessed Eustace, to participate in a meeting. The chosen theme was "Father Eustace and Synodality".
The discussion was led by Father Vinícius Maciel, ss.cc, vice-postulator of the Cause of Canonization of Blessed Father Eustáquio and rector of the Sanctuary, and also by the historian and researcher Leandro Castro. Leandro is responsible for the historical recovery sector of the vice-postulation.
The sisters came from nine communities in various parts of Brazil and had the opportunity to participate in the meeting at the Memorial dedicated to Blessed Father Eustáquio. The gathering was a time of great learning and exchange of experiences.
Father Eustáquio and synodality
The term synodality means walking together, something extremely important within the Church. Recently, the topic has been much discussed by Pope Francis in unity with the entire Church.
Father Eustáquio was an example of synodality, dedicating his life to serving others, listening to everyone and putting God's love into practice according to each person's needs. Throughout his life, he walked alongside the faithful in prayer and charity.
