Sanctuary hosts pre-congress of Missionary Childhood and Adolescence.

This Sunday, May 7th, the Archdiocesan Sanctuary of Health and Peace, the Church of Blessed Father Eustace, hosted the Pre-Congress of Missionary Childhood and Adolescence – IAM. More than 200 children participated in the activities, which concluded with a fellowship lunch.

The participants were welcomed early in the morning by the children of the IAM Padre Eustáquio. After breakfast, a lecture was given in the theater adjacent to the Sanctuary. Following this, everyone went to the church where they participated in the Eucharistic Celebration.

During the Holy Mass, the rector of the Sanctuary, Fr. Vinícius Maciel, SSCC, welcomed the children and led the blessing of the IAM symbols that were given to the new members. All participants also renewed their commitment to the Pontifical Missionary Society. The Celebration was broadcast on the Padre Eustáquio Channel on YouTube (REVIEW HERE).

At the end of the meeting, a delicious celebratory lunch was served at the Sacred Hearts Community Center, next to the church.

The pre-Congress is a preparation for the 7th State Meeting of the Missionary Childhood and Adolescence (IAM), which will take place between July 21st and 23rd, also at the Archdiocesan Sanctuary in Belo Horizonte-MG. The July event will have as its theme: “The joy of communion in mission” and as its motto: “Burning hearts, feet on the way” (Lk 24:32-33). The event will include children from the Missionary Childhood and Adolescence from various parts of the state.
