Last Friday, May 31st, the municipality of Estrela do Sul fervently celebrated the arrival of the relic of Blessed Father Eustáquio, in a ceremony marked by faith and devotion.
This fragment of the bone from the Blessed's right hand, kindly donated by the vice-postulator, Fr. Vinicius Maciel, sscc, will remain in the parish church of Estrela do Sul, where, almost a century ago, the Blessed arrived to begin his missionary work in the region, in 1925.
The relic was presented to the community in a beautiful celebration presided over by Dom Paulo Francisco Machado, Bishop of Uberlândia, with the presence of the parish priest of Nossa Senhora Mãe dos Homens Parish in Estrela, Father William Garcia. It was transported by businessman André Faleiros, a great devotee of Father Eustáquio. On the occasion, the mayor of Estrela do Sul, Dayse Galante, also attended the arrival of the relic and the Eucharistic Celebration at the main church.
The permanent presence of the relic in the main church is a gift for the faithful, who can receive the blessings of health and peace associated with the blessed hands of the Blessed One whenever they visit the place. This historic event, which took place on a day dedicated to Our Lady Mother of Men, further strengthens the spiritual bonds of the Estrela do Sul community and highlights the importance of faith in daily life.
