Father Vinícius Maciel, SSCC, was born in Belo Horizonte on October 24, 1961. Currently the rector of the Archdiocesan Sanctuary of Health and Peace and responsible for the Cause of Canonization of Blessed Father Eustáquio, the priest will preside over Holy Mass today at 7 PM, in celebration of his birthday.

The Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Father Vinícius will be broadcast on the Padre Eustáquio Channel on YouTube. Priests, brothers, and sisters of the Congregation are expected to participate in the Holy Mass.

Father Marcus Vinícius Maciel is a member of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts, rector of the Sanctuary of Health and Peace, vice-postulator of the Cause of Canonization, and president of the Padre Eustáquio Daycare Center in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Father Vinícius, SSCC, was born in Belo Horizonte, the capital of Minas Gerais state, on October 24, 1961. He also completed his initial studies in Belo Horizonte. He graduated in Philosophy from PUC-Campinas (São Paulo) and in Theology from FAJE (Minas Gerais) and PUC-Santiago (Chile). He entered the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts in 1976. His priestly ordination was on December 28, 1990. He worked in several parishes in Brazil and was Provincial Superior (Brazil – Paraguay) from 2009 to 2015. He was appointed Vice-Postulator by Father Alfred Bell, SSCC, on December 8, 2008.
