Father Reginaldo Martins da Silva, parish priest of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Poá/SP, along with local festival organizers, participated in the weekend celebrations at the Health and Peace Sanctuary.

Bringing the banners of the festival in Poá, the committee came to Belo Horizonte for the opening of the festivities of the Blessed One's Day at the Sanctuary. They return to the city in São Paulo where they will visit all the parishes in the municipality, taking relics and the Message of Health and Peace from the Dutch priest.

The team arrived in Belo Horizonte on Saturday and visited the Sanctuary and Memorial, where the mortal remains of Father Eustáquio are kept. On Sunday, they were sent by Father Marcus Vinícius Maciel, responsible for the Cause of Canonization, to the opening mass of the Patron Saint's Festival. Now, the festival organizers will prepare for the festivities that will take place in Poá, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo.

Father Eustáquio lived in Poá/SP from 1935 to 1941, at the Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes. He dedicated his life to his parishioners, with special affection for the sick and suffering.
