Newspaper clippings show devotion to Father Eustáquio dating back to the 1940s.

Newspaper clippings from "Diário da Noite," dated April 1941, show the faithful seeking the blessings and prayers of Father Eustáquio in Poá, São Paulo. On one of the pages, it is possible to see the lines of people seeking the Blessed Father's help in the city.

Other newspaper clippings describe miracles attributed to the blessings of Father Eustáquio: a mute man who began to speak and a paralytic who was able to walk again.

Father Eustáquio was parish priest in Poá from 1935 to 1941. According to the biography of the Blessed, "The Vicar of Poá," written in 1944 by Father Venâncio, ss.cc, the city in São Paulo state was too small to accommodate the demand for Father Eustáquio, since it was in this city that reports of graces obtained through his intercession began.
