A newspaper clipping, found by the vice-postulation researchers, shows a fact reported by a journalist from São Paulo. In Poá, in the metropolitan region, through the intercession of Father Eustáquio, Adão Figueiredo received the grace of walking again after 19 years of paralysis.

The excerpt is taken from issue number 5,048 of the newspaper Diário do Norte, published in April 1941 in the city of São Paulo. The pamphlet recounts other stories of devotees healed through the blessings of Father Eustáquio, the city's vicar at that time.

Father Eustáquio was parish priest in Poá-SP from 1935 to 1941. According to the biography of the Blessed, "The Vicar of Poá", written in 1944 by Father Venâncio, ss.cc, the city in São Paulo was too small to accommodate the demand for the miracle-working priest, since it was in that city that reports of graces obtained through his intercession began.
