Yesterday, February 19th, priests, religious and lay people held the first day of the Stations of the Cross at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace. The moment of prayers and meditations centered on the Passion of Christ included the blessing of the new paintings.
The objects were placed on the altar and blessed one by one. They were then taken to their final locations along the walls of the Padre Eustáquio Church. The new paintings were acquired before the pandemic, but due to the church's closure during Holy Week last year, it was not possible to gather the community for the reception ceremony.
Every Friday during Lent, the Padre Eustáquio church will hold the Stations of the Cross meditation at 6 PM. Immediately following, Holy Mass will be celebrated. The entire community is invited to participate in these moments of prayer. The number of people will be controlled at the entrance; no tickets are required.
