LIVE WAY OF THE CROSS – Padre Eustáquio Channel broadcasts a moment of prayer and reflection today.

This Friday at 6 PM, the Padre Eustáquio Channel will broadcast live the Stations of the Cross with Meditations by Blessed Father Eustáquio. This moment of prayer and reflection will take place at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace, Church of Blessed Father Eustáquio in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

The Stations of the Cross, with meditations by Blessed Father Eustace, will be held every Friday during Lent and will be led by Father Silvano Dias de Ávila, SSCC, vicar of the Sanctuary in Belo Horizonte.

The Stations of the Cross meditation broadcast on the Padre Eustáquio Channel is based on the writings of Blessed Eustáquio. These writings were selected and compiled into the booklet "Stations of the Cross with Meditations by Blessed Father Eustáquio," which can be purchased at the shop attached to the church in Belo Horizonte.

About the Stations of the Cross

Lent is a time that invites us to reflect on the Passion and death of Jesus Christ. Therefore, the "Via Crucis," or Way of the Cross, as it is popularly known in Brazil, is an exercise of prayer and reflection, meditating on the suffering of Jesus from Pilate's tribunal to Mount Calvary.

This reflection consists of 14 stations, each representing a special act of devotion:

First Station – Jesus is condemned to death.
2nd Station – Jesus carries the cross
3rd Station – Jesus falls for the first time
4th Station – Jesus' Meeting with His Mother
5th Station – Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus carry the cross.
6th station – Veronica wipes the face of Jesus
7th Station – Jesus falls for the second time.
8th Station – Jesus consoles the daughters of Jerusalem
9th Station – Jesus falls for the third time
10th Station – Jesus is stripped of his garments.
11th Station – Jesus is nailed to the cross
12th Station – Jesus dies on the cross
13th Station – Jesus is taken down from the cross.
14th Station – Jesus is buried
