Family Celebration itineraries are available for the following ceremonies: Holy Mary, Mother of God, today, and from Epiphany of the Lord, Tomorrow, January 2nd. The material is offered by the Episcopal Pastoral Commission for Liturgy of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB).
“We continue to offer this suggestion for a Celebration of the Word of God to be celebrated in your home, with your family. There are two Masses on the first day, held at the Archdiocesan Sanctuary of Health and Peace and broadcast on the Padre Eustáquio Channel at 10 am and 5 pm, which we can follow, living the dignity of the priestly people that our baptism conferred upon us, we can not only follow, but CELEBRATE with our families the Lord's Day,” states the Commission for the Liturgy.
On the first day of the year, the solemnity of the Holy Mother of God, Mary Most Holy, is an occasion to “praise and bless God for manifesting his mercy and love towards us.” In the Celebrate as a Family Guide, everyone is encouraged to ask God “to bless the year that begins, to show us his face, to walk with us.” On World Peace Day, the prayer is that “the simple and “fragile” child, born of Mary, may bring us peace. May our hearts, our families, seek peace.”.

On the first Sunday of the year, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord. This is when Jesus manifests himself to the whole world; the Magi represent the people of all languages and nations who set out on a journey, called by God, to worship Jesus. At the Archdiocesan Sanctuary of Health and Peace, the usual Sunday masses will be held at 7:00 AM, 8:30 AM, 10:00 AM, 5:00 PM, and 7:00 PM, and the Padre Eustáquio Channel will broadcast the 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM masses.
