Will van den Boomen and Ian van den Boomen are already in the capital of Minas Gerais for the 2024 Feast of Blessed Father Eustáquio. The nephews of the Dutch priest arrived yesterday from the Netherlands and have already participated in the Holy Mass with the 4th day of the Novena.

As is tradition in the family, at least one of Dona Adriana's (Father Eustáquio's younger sister) children attends the celebration in Brazil annually. Will and Ian have always been present to celebrate their uncle's memory, and this time they brought something new. Will found rare videos in the Netherlands showing Father Eustáquio on a mission in Água Suja (now Romaria-MG) and cities in São Paulo state. Excerpts from the videos will be presented next Tuesday at 10 am at the Father Eustáquio Museum, attached to the church in Belo Horizonte.
This Saturday, the Ministers of Holy Communion, members of the Liturgy Team and the Vocation Ministry of the Sanctuary prayed the Holy Rosary for the Canonization at around 4 pm, then participated in the Holy Mass, which was presided over by the rector of the Sanctuary, Father Edmar Oliveira, SSCC, and was attended by the Dutch.
Throughout the weekend, food stalls are being set up in the square with more food and drink options and more space for parishioners and visitors celebrating this year's novena.
All programming is being broadcast live by Padre Eustáquio Channel, on YouTube, which has just reached the milestone of 20,000 subscribers.
