The Sanctuary of Health and Peace, Church of Blessed Father Eustace, joined forces with the Santa Casa de Caridade of Belo Horizonte in a campaign to reopen the hospital's ICU. In addition to distributing campaign leaflets in the church and parish office, a space was provided at the Feast of Blessed Father Eustace for hospital staff to promote the campaign.
The Santa Casa hospital was hit by a fire on July 27th, which led to the closure of its 50 ICU beds on the 10th floor. The campaign, titled "Santa Causa" (Holy Cause), aims to raise the necessary funds to reopen these beds. The hospital is currently the largest in Minas Gerais providing 100% (100,000 patients) through the SUS (Unified Health System).
The goal to rebuild the entire wing affected by the fire is just over R$5 million. To learn more about the campaign and help rebuild the 10th floor, visit the hospital's website: santacasabh.org.br
