Father Eustáquio always focused his ministry on caring for the sick. His personal guidance was aimed at healing physical ailments.

The Dutch priest always spoke of God's willingness to heal people holistically. And whenever possible, Father Eustáquio recommended natural remedies that were easy for parishioners to obtain and safe to use. Because of this assistance he gave to everyone, he became known as the Missionary of Health and Peace.
