The Padre Eustáquio Daycare Center is already preparing to receive students starting next Monday, May 3rd. To meet the requirements of the Belo Horizonte City Hall, it wasn't necessary to carry out any construction work at the institution, but many adjustments were required.
The entire school is being marked out according to the requirements of the municipal protocol. In classrooms and dining areas, students will be kept two meters apart. Desks and tables will be arranged to accommodate this distance. Classes for the 1st and 2nd periods will be held from Monday to Wednesday. Each class will be divided into two periods, morning and afternoon, to respect the number of students per square meter required by the municipal back-to-school protocol. Children in the preschool program will have classes on Thursdays and Fridays, also divided into periods.
There will be two entry and exit times for each period to avoid crowding at both school entrances. In the morning, one group will arrive at 7:00 AM and leave at 11:00 AM, and the other will arrive at 7:30 AM and leave at 11:30 AM. In the afternoon, the first students arrive at 12:00 PM and leave at 4:00 PM, and the second group arrives at 12:30 PM and leaves at 4:30 PM. Children who go to school in the morning will receive breakfast and can have lunch at the end of the shift. Afternoon students can have lunch upon arrival and will have a snack before going home.
The daycare center currently has 254 children, but will only be able to accommodate 60 students at a time. Throughout their time at the institution, the use of masks will be mandatory for students and staff, except for children in preschool levels 1 and 2.
At the entrance of the daycare center there will be a sanitizing mat, hand sanitizer, and temperature checks. There will also be hand sanitizer dispensers at the door of each classroom.
