Father Eustáquio, the missionary who brought health to the needy.

Throughout his missionary life, Father Eustáquio stood out for his habit of visiting and helping the sick in the parishes he served. He always cared for the ill, recommending teas and natural remedies to treat wounds and illnesses that caused distress, especially among the poorest people he served.
The desire to help the sick and suffering arose from the inspiration of Saint Damien of Molokai, who gave up everything to care for people with leprosy and ended up dying from the disease. Seeing this willingness and availability to serve, the Blessed Saint began to care for those in need. Often, these people did not have access to doctors and ended up prolonging their illnesses for many years due to lack of care.
To keep track of the sick, Father Eustáquio kept a notebook where he wrote down the names of the people he helped. In addition, this notebook contained the addresses and often the illnesses of his parishioners.
The diary is part of Father Eustáquio's collection and preserves the history of the Blessed.
