The Diário de Suzano, a news website from the city located in Greater São Paulo, published an article detailing the candidacy of Blessed Father Eustáquio for Sainthood at the Vatican.

The publication provided information about the Blessed's situation and the next steps being taken in the Canonization process. Furthermore, the article offered some insight into the expectations of the faithful in Poá and the surrounding region regarding the Blessed's canonization.

Father Eustáquio was the first parish priest of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes in Poá/SP. And, according to the diocesan bishop of Mogi das Cruzes, Dom Pedro Luiz Stringhini, the process is highly anticipated by the entire Catholic community. “The recognition of his holiness and all the work that was done in our region is of great importance. Beyond the necessary recognition, it also enhances the value of our diocese.”, said the bishop.
