Family Week: team holds meetings in the homes of those who cannot attend church.

With the mission of bringing the word of God to those who are unable to go to church, the team responsible for visits during Family Week has begun holding this year's meetings.

In total, 11 volunteers visit pre-registered homes and promote moments of reflection, praise, and meditation on the word. The movement, which has existed for three years, goes on missions to homes in the parish community belonging to the Sanctuary of Health and Peace. On all occasions, the group carries a small chapel with an image of the Holy Family and another with an image of Blessed Father Eustace. The expectation is that, this year, the team will visit about 70 families. In previous years, there were meetings in homes and also in a nursing home, in addition to the Dona Paula Home.

This year, following the Fraternity Campaign, the team members are working on the Gospel according to Luke, focusing on the parable of the "Good Samaritan." According to Silvana, who is responsible for coordinating the work, the visits have been very special: “We have a very meaningful exchange and we leave each house feeling much stronger. People are deeply touched by the words, the music, and even by the small souvenir we bring, made by all of us!”

Normally, it is the closest relatives who indicate the houses to be visited. If you live in the community and want to suggest a residence, call the parish office and leave the contact information: (31) 3462-6557.
