The Health and Peace Sanctuary, Father Eustáquio's church, held a procession through the streets of the Padre Eustáquio neighborhood in Belo Horizonte last Thursday, June 3rd, Corpus Christi Day, with a float carrying the Blessed Sacrament.
The procession, which began shortly after the 10 a.m. mass, ended around 3 p.m. The car carrying the Blessed Sacrament passed through most of the neighborhood's streets, causing great emotion among the faithful. In the windows of the houses, the parishioners' faith was demonstrated through the decorations that each person had made.
Father Vinícius Maciel, ss.cc, who presided over the 10 a.m. celebration, was the one who followed in the motorcade, carrying the Blessed Sacrament. This is the second year that the traditional procession has not been held and has been replaced by the motorcade, due to the pandemic.
