Much faith and emotion marked the 2022 Feast of Father Eustáquio. After two years without being able to participate in the celebrations in person, devotees of the Blessed One attended the Sanctuary in great numbers.

The 30th was marked by several celebrations to accommodate all those who attended. In total, there were eight masses presided over by priests of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts, the last one, at 7 pm, being the Solemn Celebration that ended with a luminous procession through the streets of the neighborhood. Upon returning to the Sanctuary, the image of Father Eustáquio was received by a choir formed by catechumens from the Church that bears the Blessed's name.

Throughout the day, approximately 20,000 people visited the Sanctuary. The emotion among the faithful was palpable. Janaína Assis came with her entire family to give thanks for the blessings she received through the intercession of the Blessed. She brought her son, little Enzo, dressed as Father Eustáquio in gratitude. “"We've been devoted to Blessed Father Eustace even before I got pregnant. He helped me conceive Enzo, and now we've received a blessing and we've come to honor him."”, "Janaína pointed out.".

This year the celebration was graced by the presence of Father Andrzej Lukawski, ss.cc, Postulator General of the Congregation, who came from Rome to learn about the celebration and review documents related to the progress of the process. “"I thank God for allowing me to participate in this canonization process of Father Eustáquio, I am very happy to be here. I thank Father Vinícius for this opportunity."” Andrzej spoke at the beginning of his address during the 7 p.m. solemn celebration. The postulator also said he believes the process is close to canonization and that, in particular, he thinks it will not take much longer.

After some years away from Belo Horizonte, Will van den Boomen, nephew of Blessed Father Eustace, who came from Holland, was also present at the celebration. “"I am very happy to be here again, close to my beloved uncle, Father Eustáquio. I am very moved by the acts and presence of such a religious and spiritual people because of Father Eustáquio."”.

For Father Vinícius Maciel, ss.cc, vice-postulator of the Cause of Canonization of Blessed Father Eustáquio and rector of the Sanctuary of Health and Peace, it was a joy to welcome back the devotees of the Blessed during this very important celebration. “We are all thrilled to be able to celebrate this festival after two years. During this Mass, we need to remember with great affection each and every one of you who, for months, have been taking care of every detail so that this day could unfold with such beauty, order, and care in every aspect.”.

This year, the Feast of Father Eustace featured a new addition: the Room of Miracles, where people could see some of the graces obtained through the intercession of the Blessed. Volunteers also received testimonies from people who had been blessed by Father Eustace's intercession.

The festival also featured the traditional food stalls, this time only in the church parking lot. Those who attended could enjoy dishes that are already a hit at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace festivals, as well as visit the Ladies of Charity bazaar, also a tradition at the event.

All the money raised at the Padre Eustáquio festival is divided into three parts: for the poor, through the work of the Ladies of Charity; for the Sacred Hearts Parish, which takes care of the maintenance of the Sanctuary; and for the Cause of Canonization, which oversees the process of Blessed Padre Eustáquio.
