Every 30th of the month is the feast day of Blessed Father Eustace.

On August 30, 1943, Father Eustáquio was born into heaven. Several books recounting the biography of this Servant of God describe Father Eustáquio's final moments on earth, such as in the book "The Vicar of Poá," by Father Venâncio Hullselmans, from 1944.

“"At nine o'clock on the 30th he entered his death throes, but retained the use of his faculties. He joined in the prayers of the dying, insistently asking about his friend (Father Gil, who was coming from Rio de Janeiro). He seemed to refuse to depart from life without having seen his Superior and companion from the first struggles in Brazil, who finally arrived at half past ten, to the relief of all who felt the visible interest of the dying man.".
Upon entering the room, Father Eustace recognized him immediately; he tried to rise, but in vain. “Father Gil, Deo Gratias,” was all he managed to say. Then, a convulsive movement of his face, a reaction of his whole body, three deep sighs, and Father Eustace's soul flew to God, to receive the reward for his tireless labor and great charity.”

The death of the kind priest marked the beginning of a great devotion and pilgrimage to his tomb, initially located in the Bonfim Cemetery in Belo Horizonte, and later moved to the newly built Sacred Hearts Church. The church, now known as the Sanctuary of Health and Peace, has a memorial attached to the temple, which receives thousands of visitors every year.
In this same church, every 30th of the month, the memory of Blessed Father Eustace is celebrated, with masses at 7 am, 12 pm, 3 pm and 7 pm. In addition, there are moments of Adoration and confessions are heard.
Anyone passing by today can have coffee or even lunch at the Sanctuary's canteen, as well as buy religious items at the Padre Eustáquio Store to take home a piece of this devotion or give as a gift.
