Food baskets and hygiene and cleaning products, collected by the Sanctuary of Health and Peace in Belo Horizonte, were donated to the Padre Giussani Educational Works. The institution serves underprivileged children in neighborhoods on the outskirts of the capital of Minas Gerais.

After securing donations for those affected by the heavy rains earlier in the year, the Padre Eustáquio Church continued to receive donations. With so much material available, the Sanctuary's administration contacted the Padre Giussani Educational Works to help the families of underprivileged children they serve in the Aarão Reis and Primeiro de Maio neighborhoods of Belo Horizonte.

Last weekend, staff from the Institution visited the Sanctuary of Health and Peace to receive the donation. "Obras Educativas Padre Giussani" is a group of six non-profit institutions that form a social support network, serving approximately 1,200 children, adolescents, and their families in the northern region of Belo Horizonte.

The work aims to provide support and education, teaching adults and children to look at themselves and at reality, helping to bring to light who they are in their true nature.
