Dom Walmor's homily on the day of the Beatification brings a message of Health and Peace.

In his homily during the Beatification ceremony of Father Eustáquio on June 15, 2006, Dom Walmor Oliveira de Azevedo, Metropolitan Archbishop of Belo Horizonte and president of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil, delivered a message of health and peace.

The bishop, inspired by Father Eustace, invited people to greet each other using the expression made famous by the Dutch priest: "Health and Peace." Following in the footsteps of the Blessed, he personally made a point of greeting those present using the expression.

Here is an excerpt from Dom Walmor's homily:

“Health and peace to all the devotees of this man of God, Blessed Father Eustace; those near and far, young, children and adults, convinced and comforted by his being a living presence of love in everyone's life. Health and Peace! In a very special way, in profound mysticism and harmony with the heart of Blessed Father Eustace, 'HEALTH AND PEACE' to the poor and disinherited of this earth, to the sick and suffering, especially the incarcerated, the homeless, the unemployed, victims of prejudice and discrimination, recalling on this day, in the light of the commitment of the Lord Jesus who offers himself in his Body and Blood, our primary commitment to them, in respect for their lives through a sincere and supportive commitment to their promotion.‘
