The month of August is very special for devotees of Blessed Father Eustáquio. It is in this month (on the 30th) that the religious figure's day is commemorated. This is the date on which the Dutch priest, who had settled in Brazil, died from typhus (spotted fever).

Although the celebrations are centered at the end of the month, since August 1st, devotees and faithful of the blessed one have been organizing themselves to prepare for the feast. This year, in addition to the Enthronement of the replica of the image of Our Lady of the Abbey of Água Suja (Father Eustáquio's first parish) at the Memorial in Belo Horizonte; the 100th anniversary of the priestly ordination of the kind priest, which took place on August 10, 1919 in the Netherlands, will also be celebrated.
