This weekend was filled with celebration and devotion as we commemorated the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The festivities, which began on Friday and intensified on Saturday and Sunday, will continue this week, concluding next Sunday.

On Friday, when the Church throughout the world celebrated the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a beautiful ceremony presided over by the Provincial of Brazil – Paraguay Region, Fr. Osvânio Humberto Mariano, SSCC, opened the celebrations.

On Saturday, it was the turn of the Padre Eustáquio Daycare Centers to fill the church square with joy and excitement at the June festival, which brought together more than two thousand people. In the evening, the Holy Mass of the Immaculate Heart of Mary could be followed by those present and those watching from afar via the Padre Eustáquio Channel. Afterwards, there was a procession around the church and a coronation in the churchyard.

On Sunday, at all the masses, tributes were paid to the Sacred Hearts. At the end of each day, stalls selling typical food and drinks entertained the devotees.
