Brother Francisco Gleison Oliveira, ss.cc, was ordained a Deacon of the Church last Saturday, October 16th (the feast day of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque), at the Our Lady of Fatima Church of the Saint Damien de Molokai Parish in Patrocínio, Minas Gerais. The ceremony was presided over by the Archbishop Emeritus of Vitória do Espírito Santo, Dom Luiz Mancilha Vilela, ss.cc.

The celebration was attended by Deacon Gleison's brother, Pedro Alan, who came from Ceará representing the new deacon's family, as well as friends, priests, and brothers from the Congregation who attended the Holy Mass in person. Gleison's family members were also able to follow everything through social media, both on the platform and on the platform. During the celebration, Bishop Luiz gave advice and guidance for the diaconal life that Brother Gleison will now live. Immediately afterwards, the bishop proceeded with the rites of ordination, laying hands on him. The vestments (diaconal stole and dalmatic) were placed on him by Fathers Luiz Antônio, ss.cc. and João Lucas Barbosa, ss.cc. Following this, Gleison's brother, Pedro Alan, greeted him with a warm embrace, representing all the family and friends who could not attend in person.

Brother Francisco Gleison Oliveira was born in Bela Cruz (Ceará), on May 22, 1988. Son of Francisco Cleiton Oliveira and Maria de Fátima Morais, he joined the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts in 2014. He completed his Theology studies in 2016 at the Jesuit Faculty and did his novitiate in 2017 in Chaclacayo – Peru, professing his first vows on January 27, 2018, in the chapel of Casa Anchieta in Boracéia-SP.

In 2019 he was sent to the community of Catuji, Minas Gerais, working pastorally in the Parish of Saint Michael the Archangel. He made his Perpetual Profession on January 16th of this year at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace in Belo Horizonte and in July he was appointed to the community of Patrocínio-MG.
