The Military Police Symphony Orchestra thrills the audience at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace.

Members of the Musical Activities Center of the Military Police of Minas Gerais performed this Tuesday at the Health and Peace Sanctuary, the Church of Blessed Father Eustáquio. In a Christmas atmosphere, 37 officers, including a conductor, instrumentalists, and singers, all from the Military Police of Minas Gerais, presented classical music and Christmas carols.

The musicians were welcomed by the rector of the Sanctuary, Father Vinícius Maciel, SSCC. Immediately afterwards, the Master of Ceremonies of the Military Police, soldier Guilherme Henrique, introduced the conductor, Sub-Lieutenant Marco Aurélio, who began the musical performance. Among the performances were jazz songs, waltzes, samba, and Christmas carols, such as "Pinheirinho de Natal" (Little Christmas Tree), which opened the show. The musicians also played "A um anjo proclamou" (To an Angel He Proclaimed), "Glória a Deus nas alturas" (Glory to God in the Highest), "Hallelujah," "Jingle Bells" in a jazz rhythm, and "Noite Feliz" (Silent Night) in a samba rhythm.

The presentation was watched live by many faithful and parishioners, both at the Sanctuary and online, following along via... YouTube Channel Padre Eustáquio, WATCH HERE.

The partnership between the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts and the Military Police of Minas Gerais has been long-standing, but the performances did not take place last year due to the pandemic. The last performance of the Military Police Band at the Sanctuary was on December 6, 2019, and moved the hundreds of people who attended the church on the day of the concert.
