Children's Choir from Carmópolis de Minas participates in Mass at the Sanctuary

The Little Singers of the Sacred Hearts Choir, made up of nearly 50 children, will perform this Saturday, August 20th, at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace in Belo Horizonte. Hailing from Carmópolis de Minas, in the central-west region of the state, the choir has been active for 25 years and originated from the initiative of devotees of Father Eustáquio.

This Saturday's Eucharistic Celebration at 5 PM in the Church of Father Eustáquio will feature a special participation. The Little Singers of the Sacred Hearts will participate in the entire Mass with liturgical songs, performed by children and teenagers aged 6 to 14.

The Holy Mass will be broadcast on the Padre Eustáquio Channel (CLICK HERE (to accompany) and will mark the beginning of the Novena weekend in preparation for the great feast on August 30th. The Choir's performance, in addition to being a way to honor Blessed Father Eustáquio, will also be a moment to welcome visitors and the religious culture coming from the interior of Minas Gerais.

Little Singers of the Sacred Hearts

The "Little Singers of the Sacred Hearts" Choir was created in June 1997, with the support of the late parish priest Father José Erlei de Almeida. The group does not have age or time requirements for leaving the choir, thus the limit of perseverance depends on each child. However, the average age of the children and teenagers is 6 to 14 years old.

The work is voluntary, with the support of families and the parish priest. The main activity of the young singers is evangelization, especially during liturgical celebrations such as Easter, the Coronation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and Christmas. Whenever invited, the singers also perform in towns neighboring Carmópolis de Minas.
