At the heart of the Liturgy of the Word on the 33rd Sunday, the penultimate Sunday of this liturgical year, the Gospel (Mark 13:24-32) brings the announcement of the Coming of the Son of Man: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”.
And to accompany this moment, the "Celebrate as a Family" guide, offered by the Episcopal Pastoral Commission for Liturgy of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB), is now available.
At the Health and Peace Sanctuary, there are three times when masses are broadcast via... Padre Eustáquio Channel (Saturday at 6 pm and Sunday at 10 am and 6 pm) which we can attend, but living the dignity of the priestly people that our baptism conferred upon us. We can not only attend, but celebrate the Lord's Day with our families.
Families are advised to choose a suitable place in their homes to celebrate and pray together. “"Prepare your Bible with the text to be proclaimed, a vase with flowers, a crucifix, an image or icon of Our Lady, and a candle to be lit during the celebration."”, proposes the Commission for the Liturgy.
Each family can adapt the format to their needs, according to the script. The songs are suggestions and can be replaced with others, taking into account the Liturgical Season we are experiencing.
