Brothers of the Sacred Hearts profess perpetual vows.

Brothers Edvaldo Carneiro, ss.cc; Francisco Gleison Oliveira, ss.cc; and Wanderson de Souza Alves, ss.cc, professed their perpetual vows in the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts this Saturday, January 16th. The ceremony was held at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace in Belo Horizonte and broadcast on the Padre Eustáquio Channel on YouTube (review hereThe Holy Mass and the entire ritual were presided over by the Superior General of the Congregation, Father Alberto Toutin, ss.cc.

Religious life is marked by the profession of vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, made after a year of preparation called the novitiate. The novice professes these vows for three years.

Perpetual Profession represents a person's definitive adherence to a religious Order or Congregation; in our case, the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Although the first profession marks the religious person's life forever, the perpetual profession decisively renews their commitment to and following of God and the Church.

THE BROTHERS

Brother Edvaldo Carneiro, was born in Suzano (São Paulo), on the 15th of
September 1987. Son of Antônio Alves Carneiro (deceased) and
Laura da Silva Carneiro. She joined the Congregation in 2013. She did
He entered the novitiate in 2016 in Chaclacayo, Peru, and professed his first vows.
Votes cast on January 29, 2017, at the Santo Emídio Parish in São Paulo. Since
2020 lives in the religious community of the Sanctuary of Health and Peace, where
He acts in a pastoral capacity.

Brother Francisco Gleison Oliveira, was born in Bela Cruz (Ceará), on the day
May 22, 1988. Son of Francisco Cleiton Oliveira and Maria de Fátima.
Morais. He joined the Congregation in 2014. He completed his novitiate in 2017, in
Chaclacayo – Peru, and professed his first vows on January 27th.
from 2018 in the chapel of Casa Anchieta in Boracéia-SP. Since 2019 she has lived in
community of Catuji, working pastorally in the Parish of Saint Michael
Archangel.

Brother Wanderson de Souza Alves, was born in Rio de Janeiro, on the 14th of
April 1993. Son of Francisco Carlos Alves and Sheila Gama de Souza.
Alves (in memoriam). He joined the Congregation in 2012. He completed his novitiate.
in 2015 in Cerrillos de Curacavi – Chile, and professed his first vows.
on January 17, 2016, at the Parish of Our Lady of Exile in
Campo Grande-RJ. Has lived in the religious community of since 2019.
