The auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Belo Horizonte, Dom Joel Maria dos Santos, presided over the Opening Mass of the Jubilee Year of the Holy Face and the 45th anniversary of the Prayer Group's devotion on Tuesday at 7 pm. The Eucharist, celebrated at the Archdiocesan Sanctuary of Health and Peace, was concelebrated by Fathers Silvano Dias de Ávila and Edvaldo Carneiro, as well as the postulants and brothers of the Sacred Hearts.

During the homily, Bishop Joel highlighted the importance of the movement, which began to be organized in the capital of Minas Gerais in the late 1970s by one of the priests of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts.
